    Low Blow From A HOBO!

So let me tell y'all a little story about my trip to McDonald's today.

There I was, at the drive-thru... I was 3rd in line. There's this homeless man, asking drivers for money. I noticed the two people ahead give him a couple dollar bills [that's per driver]. Ok, now remember that, NOT change but BILLS. So at this point, he probly has $4 on him, and that's not including the money he got from other people [it was lunch time, MickeeDeez is popular, is it not?]. So when he gets to me he asks for some change so he can buy himself a burger. I tell him no, I don't have any change because I'm using a card.

THEN... he asks if I can get him a McChicken Sandwich. Now at this point, I still kept my cool but told him, "No. I can't".

He kinda looks around, like I just fucking crushed his world, and goes,
    "Oh ok, God Bless."
But before he completely walks away he turns back to me and says,
"By the way, you need a car wash."

    WHAT THE FUCK???
    Is he serious?

Now first of all, I completely understand being homeless ain't no joke. I understand that I, or any of us for that matter, am one wrong decision away from becoming homeless. AND I do give out change sometimes, when I HAVE money to give.

Second, he's pocketed $4 already. Hasn't he heard of the Dollar Menu??? I mean, he was right next to the damn thing! Four dollars is enough to get him a McChicken, some fries, and a drink. That's 3-muthafuckin-dollars spent and you got you a whole meal right there.

    But whatever,
I know he wasn't tryna eat. That foo' was saving up for a fix. I don't like to stereotype, but damnit, you can't come to me with cracked out eyes, itchin' your arms, asking for money and not expect me to think you's a crackhead.

That's bullshit, I'm GLAD I didn't give his old, sensitive ass shit. So HA, hobo, HA! He just mad cuz now he's gotta work a couple dollars harder. Tellin' me my car needs a wash, FUCK YOU. I know it, LOL, I ain't blind. That's another reason I didn't give his ass no damn sandwich, cuz I know I need that money to add to the tip I'ma give the guy that washes my car. You know, the muthafucka that earned it, NOT the sensitive ass crackhead.

Call it whatever you want, but I'm just sayin'.

I remember once there was a guy standing next to the road and he had a sign that said "Need money for booze" and he had a whole crap load of money in his bucket. not even a cup. a freaking bucket. that says a lot about our society right there.

This reminds me tangentially of something that happened to me recently, not with a homeless guy though...just a relative stranger being a hater for no good reason. Some people are so unhappy in their own lives that they try to cut others down and get into business in which they don't belong. And the worst part is that when someone butts in and says stupid, mean shit to you, no matter how eager you are to respond or say 'you're a jerk,' it's no use...since people like that thrive off any attention, even negative attention. It's so frustrating!

About this homeless guy though...the thing is, even though you didn't help him out with money, it sounds like you treated him with respect. That's why it's prob especially irritating that he threw in a nasty comment. And the fact that he appeared to be trying to save up for something other than food.

And come on...you were in a "dirty" car buying McDonald's, where you *can* get a $4 meal. (I say this as someone whose car is filthy and has purchased many a cheap fast food meal to fit into my young-professional-budget.) It's not like you were going home to swim in a pool of gold coins.

Homelessness and being among the worker poor are very difficult fates, definitely. It'd be great if we all could help every individual person, but we can't. But just because someone doesn't give some money on one occasion doesn't mean he or she can't help in other ways, like by donating food, clothing, or time as a volunteer.

Ummm, you can't be homeless and have an attitude.... He shoulda offered to wash your car so he could feed his hungry behind.
If he made $4 that's a meal from Mc'Ds dollar menu.... Crackhead....

I saw the same show Roxy did..now I'm paranoid that all bums are rich.

My own personal bum story - I was at the drive-thru at McDonalds & a bum asked me for change for food just as I was pulling out. I told him I didn't have any change, BUT I reached into my bag & gave him MY hamburger. He then says, "No thank you, I really wanted a cheeseburger." OMG I wanted to throw the damn burger at his face. How can you be homeless & picky..??

I still give bums $ when I have it though...I figure $1 won't kill me, but it could buy them something to eat.

lol as Chris Rock says in his "No Sex in the Champagne Room" song:

If a homeless person has a funny sign,
he hasn't been homeless that long
A REAL homeless person is too hungry to be funny.

i feel bad but there is NO reason to be rude about it.. loll. it's not like you're gonna feel bad and then be like oh.. oh i'm sorry. i'm totally wrong. here's a dollar. you know? what the heck! hahaha. best way to go about it is either to be funny or at least be POLITE, dammit.
