Forever 21 presents Faith 21

I am sooo excited for the launch of this line! Normally, I can get away with a Medium or a Large, but sometimes, some of their shirts just need a little extra room up top in order to fit me properly [ladies with bOObs: y'all feel me when buttons on the shirt tend to pull a little, right?] and the Large just ain't cuttin' it. I'm glad that they're finally making plus sizes available, it's about damn time!

OK OK, so it's been forever and day since I've had a post. So what, sue me! LOL, no really please don't =/ Butttt, I dunno, I've just been really unmotivated. If you follow my Tumblr, I've had some updates on it... only cuz that place is where I post the most random tidbits that I feel I need to share with the world.

oh man, that's a tough one... I have a few. But they're nothing expensive, just some stuff I KNOW looks great on me =)

this is approx. $145.77 according to CoinMill.com, so with that much money, TRUST ME, I can do a lot w/it. I got plenty of Moms&Pops stores around me... sooo... I can probably get 2 whole outfits, plus accessories and some makeup w/that much moolah.

Hands down, Betsey Johnson & John Galliano... they're both crazy and I LOVE IT!

Muffin tops... why? Seriously... why? Their are plenty of cute shirts that hide it, why oh fucking why would you do that to yourself?

• Why did you start your (beauty) blog?
Actually, I didn't start this as a beauty blog and I believe that it still really isn't one. I just happen to love talking about beauty and fashion related things... a lot. LOL. But here and there, I like to throw in stuff I find amusing or interesting, etc. Anyway, back to the question, I started blogging way before I even knew it was called blogging. I had a complete website a loooong time ago, and I had a section on there that was like an online journal. Then, when I couldn't keep up with an entire website, I ended up finding a website that only had online journals, or 'blogs'. But before, I was just rambling on and on about whatever crossed my mind. I created THIS particular blog because I found my calling in beauty & fashion, with a side of random =).

Urban Designers...

Haven't been a fan of them since the Ca$h Money crew were the first to chant "Bling Bling". Not that I have anything against them, and most definitely not because my taste grew fond of couture [HELL NO! I still shop F21 & Wet Seal y'all!].

However, I did pull away from Urban Brands after I realized that THEY should be paying ME! How so? Think about it, most of that shit has their brand or logo plastered all over it! I mean, small logos, OK fine... but a big ass "RocaWear" or "Apple Bottom" on my ass in gold stitching? Yea... I don't fuckin' think so.

Since I missed out on MAC's ElectroFlash collection, I jumped right on Stephanie's blog sale-bones when I saw that she had a BNIB Fresh Green Mix e/s duo.

Would you believe it? The very same day I asked her for it, she mails it to me! Talk about service! Now that's how mama like it suga... mama like it a lot.

Anyway, so yesterday I get this package.

Shower Me, Baby!

Not ME of course, but Jackie [J.Rose Online] & soon to be born lil' Ethan!


Ok, a couple things before I get started: Jackie had already invited me to come play with her on two separate occassions, both of which I had to decline because our schedules just didn't match. Then, two Pow Wow's came and went, and I missed those as well. So, I was REALLY excited for this baby shower to come along cuz I had been dying to meet these chicks! Would you believe it? When I first found my blog niche (cuz before, I was just rambling) the first person's blog I came across was [and this is a true story, I swear!] Vanessa's, then I kinda just click on a bunch of her links and found Christiana's, Anne's & Jackie's blogs to be most interesting of the bunch.

And now, a year and some months later, I get to meet ALL FOUR OF THEM at once! It's crazy, I really didn't know what to expect from anyone, I didn't know if I had to come complete with my nun-chucks or whatever, that's why I came equipped with my girl Carol (who happens to be Jackie's hubby's friend's sister, small world no?) ... but wow, no dreams were crushed, these chicks are great. I can't wait for IMATS now.

So here's some advice for some of my own readers: Keep believing ladies, and one day, you can meet ME, too!!! LOL, I'm totally kidding by the way.

So that's my 2 cents on the shower, Thank You, Thank You Jackie for having us (Carol & I), and I really, really enjoyed meeting the other girls (Christiana, Anne, & Vanessa)... oh and yes, I promise to keep my end of the bargain. I will still do a Michael Jackson number for y'all, don't trip. I'm sorry the concert ended so early =/

Brazil In A Box

After gawking at the Victoria's Secret website, I've finally decided to get off my ass and go to the store to check out their Brazil inspired beauty collection. It also helped that I got a little gift card for $10 bucks off. If you remember from this post, I put in pictures of the two eye palettes and the bronzer.

Anyway, so I went to the store and found out that the collection actually comes with moisturizers that gradually tan & firm the skin, shimmering lotions, and lip glosses. The moisturizer didn't really impress me because I thought that maybe I'll tan faster than I firm up, so yea... and the shimmering lotion, well, I'm not a fan of glitter on my skin. I like to have a nice sheen, or a glow, but I don't really wanna glisten or shimmer. And the lippies, there were only 3 to choose from and none of them turned me on.

Now, about the eye palettes, I reaaally liked them. The colors were quite pigmented, the powder was velvety, and oh... they were just a dream! But, I didn't get them because I already have all those colors (or something similar to them), and I haven't even really been using the ones that I have. SO if I got the palettes, they'd just got to waste.

Now the bronzers... I love the bronzer so much that I took one home with me. I found out there were actually TWO bronzers. "Ipanema" is the one I got, and also the lighter of the two. The other one is "Copacabana", which frankly, looked a little muddy when I put it on my skin.

I'm Gonna NEED EVERYONE's Help w/This One.

My best friend's friend is going thru something right now, something that is completely beyond what I can fathom. I won't tell you her name, in respect to her family. I will tell you what's going on though.

Some time a little while back, this woman was diagnosed with breast cancer. It went away, but now it's back. Tumors are spreading all over and she needs to be put on chemo. However, she's also 6 months pregnant. There is nothing we can really do, the decision is up to her and the doctors, but the outcome is in God's Hands.

So please, please pray for her and the baby. I don't even care if you don't believe in God, or believe in a different God, it doesn't matter. I just need that positive energy to circulate in as many places as this entry will reach, cuz you never know? Miracles do happen. Please help me pray and hope for the best.

As much as I might complain about my body, I gotta admit, I love it. I've come to realize it's the only one I'll ever have and therefore I think that it's the sexiest part of me. Why? Because, regardless of what size I ever was, or probly ever will be, be it Small-Medium-Large, I remain in proportion. It was definitely much easier to find clothes when I used to fit Smalls & Mediums, but now that I'm on the Large & XLarge category, I still find myself looking really fucking great in most clothes. Sure, my waist isn't so trim, my arms are flabby-ish, but hey... so what? My ass sticks out more, my thighs are thicker, and my boobs are juicier =)


TWO

The mole, or as I refer to it, the beauty mark in my right eye. Anyone can fake a Marilyn Monroe, but you'd go blind if you tried to copy my shit.


THREE

My sense of humor. You can ask my closest friends & my family, it takes a LOT to get me down. I'm not necessarily always tryna find the light in the tunnel, but I will smile & make jokes along the way. Trust me, you could die trying to rain on my parade, bring on the blizzard!


FOUR
My dancing skills. I'm no Jabbawockee or nothing, but I can do my thang-thang on the dance floor. And I don't even need alcohol to get down. I can dance to ANYTHING. I may not be able to professionally riverdance or tap, but damnit I'll try!


FIVE

My hair. No matter how much I've put it thru, it hasn't given up on me. It's still tightly, densely packed on my head and refuses to let go or break. It also volumizes, curls or stiffens up on command. It's a little dry, but that doesn't seem to stop it from shining =)


Oh... only FIVE? LOL
