Ladies & B.J... Whatta Night!
Anyway, I don't have pictures of the night. Frankly, I was having too much fun to bust out my camera, but I figure I'll just steal some of L's pix when she posts them or link y'all over when she does her post. Either way, I don't have any of my own.
But what I do have are memories of a really great night out with some very fabu-females =)
[START EDIT 11.10.09 --
Lena's post regarding the dinner, and them some!
-- END EDIT]
Oh my gawd... I can't even tell you some of the shit we talked about... our long ass conversations jumped from... well, no I won't say. I will share with you the stuff I got. That's right, L & Wuz spoiled us with treats from Japan & Hawaii.
The goods

This is from Wuzzy

BTW, since some people ended up canceling on the dinner, Wuzzy had extras! So I got 2 of everything you see there. Also, I tried the popcorn... and I gotta be honest, I don't even really like popcorn but damnit... that shit was awesomness. Like, fa'real fa'real... even my BF loved it.
Paper soap

I have yet to try these, and I kinda don't want to. LOL not in a bad way, but because the packaging is so pretty, and there's only so many sheets in there so I don't wanna run out. LOL, I'll probably just stare at them for awhile.
And these are from L

Wuzzy gave me Hello Kitty candy necklace, and now L gave me Hello Kitty jars. LOL, I swear, y'all are gonna turn me into a Hello Kitty fan soon enough!
The lashes

I love the criss-crossing design.
Thank you again ladies!!! And whether or not we do this again (but I hope we do at some point in the future), I'm glad we all got to kick it =)

I've Been Holding Out....
Anyway, so long story short... last week, my sister was invited to a dinner & a show along with her co-worker. Her co-worker couldn't make it, so I jumped at the chance as soon as I heard Ms. Pat was performing. Anyway, it all went down Friday, October 16th at the Canyon in Agoura Hills, CA.
Anyway, less words and more pix!
I forgot this chick and her bands name, but they were the opening act, and they we're pretty good. More than anything, I fell in L.O.V.E. with her jeans! You have to see it from the back, which I didn't get a picture of, but still... just take my word for it.

While waiting for Pat, I managed to consume 2 vodka tonics, 1 lemon caper chicken, and these 3 cakes...

I also really enjoyed the decor that was right over me...

I was in Agoura Hills, come on y'all... my sister and I stuck out like a sore thumb!

I didn't want to crop her out, by my sister didn't like how she turned out in the pix... anyway, this was the look for the night.

And FINALLY! Pat came out!!!!

She must be in her 50s, getting close to 60s... but damn... this woman is still pretty fucking gorgeous!
This is Pat's husband. What made the night better was knowing that this was their last local gig for the year, and it also marked their 30 years as a band!!!

This the whole band

And I swear, 30 years later and they still look in love... I'm jealous. I wanna be that way 21 years from now.

Here are some short vids I took. I was running low on memory (I know, my fault), so I tried to take 30 seconds or so of songs I recognized. Let me tell you though, these videos do her no justice. I love her for her raspy voice, and live her voice is so much better!
We Live For Love
We Belong
they looked really sweet during this song
Who plays Guitar Hero???

Anywhooz, hope y'all enjoyed my little concert experience =)

NOTICE: For Advertisers & Marketers
The reason I'm doing this is because there is no real incentive for me in spending time creating a post about something I've only heard about because I was emailed a link. And even if there were incentives, it would be unfair for my readers because they're putting their trust in me and my true & honest opinions.
HOWEVER, if you have a specific product (as in something you can package & send over to me) that you would like for me to test out & review, I'll be happy to take such inquiries. You can reach me here: LifeasICEYit@gmail.com

Whether You're Into Tricks OR Treats...
Seriously, what is it about Halloween that makes good, uptight, even girdle wearing females just wanna flash, flash, and flash? Kids can call it Halloween as much as they like, and fill their bags up with as much candy as possible before curfew... but the grown and sexxxy know better don't we?
That's right, Halloween is really nothing more than National Freak Day. Good freak, bad freak, freaky freak, all freaks come out on Halloween night. And when we knock on yo'doors... we don't want tootsie rolls and dum-dums... we want that eXciting type of candy, that devil's water, and most importantly... we wanna see the tricks that make us scream and holla, and we'll give you a treat so good, it'll make you wanna pay our bills.
If you've been a long time reader of my blog, you'll know that I love
Trashy.com
It's raunchy, it's sexy, it's trash but like, classy trash. You know what I mean? It's not just strings and patches put together and ass & titties hanging out. No, no, no! They've got actual outfits to help you really get into the mood of role-play. And with that said, the outfits can be pretty pricey. These ain't for ordinary, part-time, "I'm tryna pay for school" type stripper's salary bitches... these are for BOSS-Misses. An entire outfit can cost well over $500. Which is chump change if you got men on their knees just waiting to open up their bank accounts to you anyway.

Pssst... So I Heeeaard...
Introducing,
THE SKINNY

Sometimes, even though we don't always want to admit it, a girl needs help. And with all these new skin care lines popping up, it gets frustrating to find that one item that truly works for you. Am I right, or am I right? I know from experience, I've gone through tons of different items to help with my acne, only to end up getting more acne. Let me tell you, it sucked. All the sales people were just trying to sell me products because it was a "hot" item, and none of my friends could relate to my problem.

So anyway, I wish they had come up with this website sooner, but hey, better now than never right?
Aritey, so the website is FREE to sign up, and they'll even recommend you products that you might like based on the info you give them about your skin.

Perricone MD, Lisa Hoffman Beauty, 100% Pure, International Orange, Dermaquest and Organic Apoteke are just a few of the brands they'll be selling.

The expected launch date will be on
Wednesday, October 21st.
But if you sign up now, you get to be automatically entered to win an anti-aging moisturizer from Bliss, worth $79!
ALSO, if you get some of your buddies to join, you can get up to 20% OFF of your first purchase!
So really, and this is gonna sound cliché but really, what's there to lose? I mean, if you're anything like me, you sign up for all these other places that offer free memberships and such anyway. LOL, what can I say, I'm a sucka for free anything. And the next best thing to free is a sale. So hey, ya'never know, this could be love at first 'site', har har.
Okie Dokies... that's it.
Oodles of Toodles!

She's Not A Rich Girl...
The lovely Tammy from Portrait of a Lady, cares so much about her beauty goodies, that she just wants them put to good use. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to love every single piece as they had deserved to be loved, so she was kind enough to offer them to other beauty obsessed bloggers at a very affordable rate. That's right, $FREE.99 baby! So of course, being the makeup crazed, sucka for a good deal chick that I am, I jumped at the chance and did a little *clap*clap*, Olé!
Here's everything.

I only asked for a couple things (cuz I didn't want to be too greedy), but she included a couple MORE things!
Physician's Formula Baked Bronzer

You can barely see the swatch on my already-tanned skin. However, that swatch is on my hand, and my face is a lighter shade than that. So on my face (where is belongs), it looks subtle, but you can definitely see it. And I lubba it!
Wet'n Wild I-Sparkle

Ok, so somewhere between the NJ P.O. and the CA P.O., one of them folks dropped the package or dropped something on it. I'm not really trippen on them, I understand they're just doin their job... but wouldn't common sense tell you that if it's important enough to be mailed across the county in bubble packaging, that it should probably be taken care of? I dunno P.O... get that mess together!!! But like I said, I'm not really trippen, I've broken shadows before and I still found ways to use them. The thing is, I wish I could have shown you the design, it's was such a pretty flower =( The shadow itself though, I was feeling it and it's really soft and velvety. I should probably separate the colors and crush them completely into little jars, and pretend like they're pigments? LOL, I'll work it out.
N.Y.C. MarblEyes in Aquamarine

This was one of the things she threw in just cuz... isn't it pretty? It looks like a planet. Regarding the swatch, my flash is very bright and I couldn't get a decent pic w/o the flash, sooooo... just imagine that swatch but a couple shades darker. In person, the black w/the teal really show through, however the silver reacts with light, hence the funky swatch.
Paint Ex

She also threw this in there. This little thing really surprised the hell out of me. It looked like a sheer color, but check out the swatch! That's just ONE swipe. That thing goes on thick.
Okey dokey... that's it.
Thank you again & again Tammy!

Take Me To Great Lengths...
So I think to myself, "Self... what IF you see whatsherface walking around campus? You can't let her know you ain't doin' diddly-squat in yo'life!" DingDingDing... So that's when I knew I had to come correct; I had to look like I was coming from somewhere important, and leaving for someplace better.
What better way to make such a statement than with eyes worth fantasizing about? Enter:
Revlon's Fantasy Lengths False Eyelashes

The pair I tried for this review was the one called "Defining". It's the one with a self-adhesive strip, no need for messy glue!

Here it is in detail, I wanted to show y'all how the strip looked like. Also, I know some people are wondering what happens when the strip doesn't stick anymore? Easy, there's a pair of extra strips!

Now, the review!
Where to get it:
Drugstores, Discount department stores
How much:
$6.59 on CVS.com, that's about the same as the other places that these are sold, give or take a buck
What I like:
These lashes are so pretty! With this particular pair, the length of the "hairs" gets longer as you go from the inner corner of your eyes to the outer corner. So it creates the effect of bigger, brighter eyes.
What could be improved:
Ok, so here's where it get's a little iffy. I applied the lashes AFTER I had already done my eyeshadow. I don't know if the powder from my eyeshadow was causing the self-adhesive strip to NOT stick, but I had a VERY hard time trying to put the darn thing on, and keep it on.
Frustrated as I was, I yanked the strip off and resorted to this.

This is the glue that came with a different pair of lashes that were NOT self-adhesive.
Overall:
I understand that it could be a number of reasons why the strip didn't stick, but I just feel that "self-adhesive" should adhere by itself. So yea, I'm not a fan of that whole "no glue needed" thing.
HOWEVER, when I took the strip off from the lashes, I was happy to find out that the lashes were bound together with a very thin band. I love that because it helps to make them camouflage really well into your natural lashes.
Some of you might be wondering how the glue is like, well let me tell you then =)
So first, the goods:
1. it didn't take long for the glue to feel 'tacky', so that's definitely a plus because I hate waiting.
2. that thing sticks GOOD! I put it on at 10a and took it off at 8p. The entire time in between, I didn't have to do any touch-ups or anything, it just stuck.
Now, the not so good:
but instead of telling you, I'll show you...

This picture was taken 10 minutes AFTER I put the lashes on... that's plenty of time for the glue to 'disappear'.
In the end though, a little eyeliner, a little mascara and voila!

Anyway...
Even though I didn't like the self-adhesive bit, I can tolerate the glue, but I loooove the lashes. The styles are just too pretty to pass up. So definitely, DEFINITELY give these things a chance! They're very light, you'll forget you even have them on... and the styles really make eyes stand out, you know... that whole come-hither appeal.

Alrighty folkers, hope you found this helpful!
