    Spring Fever

So apparently, after you answer questions on Formspring.Me, it doesn't let you re-publish the stuff. So I had to copy & paste. Enjoy!
    * * * * *

i just saw that makeup post =] do pinks work for all skin tones??

Yes it does. Keep in mind that you're not really trying to match your skin tone anyway, you're trying to hide the dark circles, and that's where the pink comes in =)

what is the best way to go about fixing dark circles under the eyes without looking like you have pounds of makeup on?

First, you're gonna need a creamy concealer that's got a pink undertone or pink base. I'll be honest, I don't know how that color thing works, but from experience concealers with pink undertones (like MAC NW# or straight up pink like Benefit's Eye Bright) work best to counteract dark circles. Anyway, so you get your concealer and either with your finger, a brush, or a sponge, you PAT it on until it blends seamlessly with your skin. I don't recommend swiping the product on, because that tends "erase" some of the product (product gets caught in the brush, sponge, etc.) so you end up thinking you need to put more on, then it'll end up caking. Next, just pat some light/sheer powder or translucent powder on there and you're good to go.

do you have a fave blush? im trying to find one thats natural lookin for my skin tone.. whatcha think? by jesscuhz

I DO actually! I LOOOOOVE MAC's Dollymix. It looks hella bold in the packaging but the color is quite sheer but it's very buildable. The color really shows up well in pictures, but in person it really wakes up your face, which I love because I tend to look tired all the tired.

how do you get people not to freak out about your pitbull? by vanessamakeup

Some people you just can't convince, but for those with an open mind I usually just get them to come close enough to me, look ME and avoid looking at my pitbull in the eyes. This allows my dog to sniff the person and build trust. It helps that my dog's still young and extremely curious about everyone & everything. Then when the time is right, I have them put their hand out (backhand facing out) so my dog can sniff it and that person can slowly begin to pet them from there. Of course I have to say, "trust me, it's okay she's nice. She's just curious about you right now" like 50x but soon enough they'll discover that she's a real sweetheart and all she wants in return are cookies =)

if you could only name ONE trait in a girl that's an immediate turn-off for you (meaning instant disdain) what would it be? by tianani

EASY! It's kinda hard to explain but I'll try. It's when the chick is a "Me-too-and-then-some" type. For example, someone asks about some random thing about YOU and after you answer SHE chimes in saying "oh me too! But I have it in pink AND blue". It's usually followed by a cold smirk and a side eye. It's such a turn off because this usually means that the chick is 1) an attention whore and would rather talk about how much better she is than you than get to know you, 2) she's gotta be the alpha bitch or else you can't be in HER "posse", and 3) she's gonna be the type of friend that when you're in need, she's gonna be the hero so that everyone can forget about your dilemmas and appreciate how great she is.

What perfume do you use? by iyah

I don't really wear perfume, I wear those body splashes from VS and BBW cuz I'm always getting those for my bday & holidays so I have a hell of a lot of them, LOL. But I do have Dior Addict 2 & Givenchy Very Irresistible that I love and wear to very special occasions.

    whats your favorite lipstick?

Hands down, MAC Lustre in High Tea.

    wat are your favorite brands?

I don't really have a favorite brand. I have brands I don't like, but it would be kinda mean to mention them. Sorry.

do u like video games or sports?

I like both, I just can't sit through like an entire game of say football or something. I like boxing, I know it's violent but it's so much more active, it forces me to sit & watch. As far as video games, we have a Wii & a PS3, but I do prefer the Wii because the games are fun but chill. Like there's no pressure to get to the next level or to fight enemies over the internet, shit like that. They have games that you can play while you're having a few drinks with friends or just spending time with family.

what do u do for fun?

Lately I haven't done much fun things, I'm such a homebody now. But occasionally, I do enjoy hiking with my dogs, going out dancing, bowling, long lunches w/friends.

    any resolutions?

No, I've broken way to many in the past. I'm just gonna go with the flow this time around.

where is your favorite place to grub?

OMG. I have plenty! There's this place called Flooky's in Chatsworth, CA... gawddd, best.fries.ever. Of course, I love my In'n Out animal style burger & fries, too.

I love purples too! Have you ever been camping in the wilderness/forest/mahoosive area of trees and creepy crawlies and all that weirdnosity? x by foshoozley

LOL no I haven't. I went with people who went camping before, but since a friend & I took a separate car, we decided to go home. As much as I love animals, I can't be out in the wild =/

Tell us a bit about yourself =)

I'm awesome. Is that little enough? No j/k, let's see I'm a very easy going person with a bad temper. I love to laugh & be silly, I love animals, I love to dance and will dance to anything even when there's no music.

    what is your favourite colour??

I go through phases when it comes to favorites... lately I've been loving all shades of purple.

    Birthday: Part TWO

Last Friday (1*22), I celebrated my birthday here...

This part of the festivities was for my friends and family members who were of appropriate clubbing age =)

After the club, we went out to eat, but no more pix. I was already pretty wasted and honestly, I don't really know what else happened. I will tell you this; the following morning (or afternoon I should say) I woke up puking, with a mean ass headache... and a trash bag next to me. Not a pretty sight, but I guess you can say I had one hell of a night =)

    Birthday: Part ONE

If you didn't already know, last Monday (1*19) was my 26th birthday. But the night before, my BF took me out on a date =)

    This is where we went...
    Photobucket

More than anything, I was just happy to spend some quality time with him. Ever since we started living together, it seems we never have any alone time. And no, I'm not talking about intimately... I'm talking about time where it's all about him & I, not my family, not his family, not our friends... just US.

To start the night off, I asked for a midori sour. However, they didn't have it so they gave me the next best thing. Lucky for them, this shit tasted better than my midori sour!
    Photobucket
We also had hot sake but I didn't get to take a pic.

    Here's what we had...

    It's A Showdown!

Alritey, so ever since I heard that Revlon's new Color Burst lipstick line was the answer to [my beloved] Maybelline's ColorSensational, I knew I had to check it out. That plus CVS was having a BOGO Free on all Revlon products, so I took it as a sign that I must check it out.

Below, I will be refering to Maybelline ColorSensational as MCS and Revlon Color Burst as RCB. Why? Cuz it's shorter. Also, and I swear I hate having to do a disclaimer but it seems it's the new "law" or some shit, so here goes: This is all just my opinion, I bought all these products on my own and no one paid me to say anything negative or positive about these products.

    On to the showdown!

    Packaging:
    -MCS-
Looks very fun & colorful. The long cap is kind of see-through and corresponds according to the family in which the product belongs. Shades of red are in red caps, naturals in brown, pinks in pink, and plums in purple. The product is sold unsealed so if you're a germaphobe, then this might be a cause for concern.

    -RCB-
Quite classy looking. Matte black with quilting designs on alternating sides. The top of the cap corresponds with the actual color of the product. This product is sealed, so you know that no one has tampered with it. However, the downside to that is you can't take the cap off to check exactly what color you're getting. You only have the top of the cap to rely on which isn't all that accurate.

    Price:
Both are approximately $7-$8 at drugstores. Both a bit too overpriced for my blood, as far as drugstores go, so I always wait for BOGOs.

    Product:
    -MCS-
Creamy and well pigmented. The shade "Nearly There" is not as nude as I thought it would be, but I still really like it. When I first bought it, I was turned off by the smell but I liked the color enough to overlook it. The second color I got, "Warm Me Up" is kinda pink-ish so I don't know why it was in the naturals section. Anyway, I adore this color and it looks absolutely gorgeous on. It's very wearable for everyday but gives enough pop of color so you actually look like you tried to look good, ya'know?

    -RCB-
Creamy but kind of glossy. It is pigmented, but for the colors I got, not too pigmented. So if you don't like the feel of gloss but like the look of it, this might be the product for you. The color "Baby Pink" is definitely a pretty color for when you want to look youthful or playful or something. The other color I got which is "Soft Nude" is probably one of the best nude colors on the market. I absolutely am in love with that color!

    Selection:
Not that the selection over at RCB sucks, but MCS definitely has a much bigger selection... hands down. MCS has over 40 shades whereas RCB probably has only half (if not less) of that.

I've included these pictures & swatches so you can see for yourself.

WTH: Shit That Deserves To Be Aired Out

A few things that really irritate me, and make me say, "What the hell, maaaaannnn?":

    1. Having to saying "sorry" or "it's okay" when you're not sorry and it's not okay.
    • You know when someone asks you for a favor and you don't want to do it so you say sorry so they won't get mad? What the hell man? A favor is a favor is a favor. It means you have an option right? So just because you choose the option that the other person didn't wanna hear, you ain't gotta be sorry for that. That's their problem, have them go bug someone else. Of course, if this was the case at work, there's really no choice... especially if the one asking is the same person signing your paycheck. But I'm talking about personal life.

    2. My mother apologizing to guests for the house being in bad shape.
    • First of all, a guest is a guest. They don't have to stay there if they don't want, they have their owns homes to get back to. So if they don't like what they see, I don't see why my mom or anyone else should have to apologize for it. If I have puppy toys all over the floor and stuff "I should throw out soon" piled on top of each other, who's business is it but mine? It's not like the place is dirty, it's just overstuffed that's all.

    Photobucket
    3. Grown ass adults who don't trust dogs or any other animal.
    • First of all, before anyone gets it twisted I'm not talking about like lions or crocodiles or anything like that. Cuz I mean, if you don't trust wild animals, then get your ass out of the wild. What the hell are you doing on a safari if your ass is scared of giraffes? Back to the point, I'm talking about domesticated animals. One bad incident doesn't, or rather, shouldn't determine the outcome for all similar situations. Come on, that's stereotyping... and it's also being rude to the owner. I know there are plenty of stupid pet owners out there, but there are incredibly responsible ones too. And when you tell me that you "don't trust" one of my animals, what I'm hearing is that you really don't trust ME and how I raise them.

    4. Bloggers who are afraid of their friends and family finding out about their blog.
    • A blog is supposed to be public. It's suppose to give readers insight or just something they can relate to. Now if your ass doesn't want your blog "discovered", then maybe you need a "diary". You either need to pick up a pen & notebook and do it old school style, or simply put your stuff on private. You can't be an internet-celeb (though I use that term loosely) and expect never to have someone you know in real life find out about it. That is a perfect example of not thinking things thoroughly. And besides, what the hell is it you're trying to hide from you're real life friends and family? I mean I know it's awkward at first, but unless you have a split personality it shouldn't be too bad. What, are you like super bad ass bitch on your blog and super queen of quiet in real life?

    Photobucket
    5. People who don't respect my need to keep to myself sometimes.
    • As much as I enjoy spending time with people who have good vibes, there are those days when I just wanna be a hermit. You know, those days where you wanna leave your phone off, get some house chores done (maybe), watch tv or listen to music, curled up reading a book or whatever you do when you're chillen by yourself. And when I'm in that state, it really irritates the hell out of me when people go out of their way to get a hold of me and for no reason other than they just wanted to see what I was doing. Like, really? Unless someone is dead or dying, don't do that.

    6. My boyfriend's fear that I'll be prettier than him.
    • This one is kinda silly, but I do believe it's true. Over the summer last year, he lost a lot of weight. Good for him, right? I was happy for the little guy. So now I'm trying to lose some spare tires, and why does this foo' always give me the bigger half of anything we're splitting? At first, I thought "awww, what a gentleman". Over time, I just realized (maybe he doesn't know he's doing it but he's still doing it nonetheless) that maybe he's scared I'll be better looking than him. Which is ridiculous cuz he's a boy and I'm a girl. Anyway, so then I noticed he'll say he's hungry, so we'll pull up somewhere and he'll order for me then back out on his order so I end up being the only one eating. Or he says he's hungry and he's gonna go cook and he'll ask if I want something. So I say sure, and he'll only make something for me and nothing for him cuz he changed his mind. WTF???? I mean, it's kinda funny... just annoying.

    Photobucket
    7. People who say the BF and I should "just get married already".
    • I will strangle the next person that says this to me. I promise, I will. Just because he's the one for me does not make marriage the next step, not in our situation. So mind ya'business. And besides, none of the people who have ever said we should just do it are even willing to fork up the money to spend on a wedding. It's like, how you know we're not saving up for the wedding that'll put all weddings to shame? Whatevz... people need something better to do.

    Photobucket
    8. When family thinks that I should censor myself to other family members.
    • I just think that if I can't be completely honest with close family members, then who the hell can I really be honest with? I mean, if I can't express when I'm angry or annoyed or so super happy that I start babbling shit I might regret later... then wth? Who can I express my feelings to?

    9. When friends "un-tag" themselves off my pictures.
    • I just recently noticed this but when I look back on some other pix, I've noticed other people have done it too! Like really? Why the hell would you pose for a picture if you don't want people to see it? And if it we're candid, so frikken what? If you looked funny that day, then you looked funny that day. It doesn't make you any more or less pretty than you are now. We all make fashion mistakes, or hair style no-no's don't we? It's a picture, it doesn't define you. Un-tagging defines you and your lack of a sense of humor. So boo you!

    10. When people try so hard to get attention, then get mad when they get it.
    • Last but most certainly not least, I cannot stand it when people do this! Whether on a blog or on a social networking site or in real life, I know we've all witness people like this somewhere. It's that person who keeps showing off then get mad when people criticize them. It's like they go, "oh look at me, look at me, look at my fabulous things and all the brilliant things I do"... then they go, "I hate it when people get all nosey with my shit". Umm... you only get back what you put out there, sorry to burst your bubble.

    theEND.

    PO: Viva Las Vegas

My BF and I have been to Vegas many, many times together. However, what makes this pictures so special is that this was the first time he's ever been to Vegas, and I was more than happy to pop that Vegas-Cherry. Unfortunately, I was only 20 yrs. old at the time (the BF was 21) so I couldn't have too much fun with him. He ended up having more fun with my sister & her hubby (they we're 26 yrs. old already).
