    Bang For My Buck

Recently, I took my mom out to an Asian market and not wanting to deal with the crap inside, I decided to sit this one out. However, just on the other side of the plaza I spotted a Dollar Tree store. What's the harm done if I just peek in, right?

To Ask Or Not To Ask...

IDK if this question's gonna be redundant... I'm sorry if it is but just outta curiosity and for the sake of getting to know you better, what's your ethnicity? c: c: You're gorgeous! by bubblewrapped

oh why THANK YOU! I'm Filipino. I do get this question a lot, but I love it, I don't mind getting asked. Thank you again =)

    Favourite feature? by shesoprecious

on me? my lips, my legs, and my skin color. But if only one, then my lips.

What is your ideal Valentine's Day? Use your imagination! by missjaclynrose

Going on a cruise!!!! I've never been on a cruise and I'd really like to go. I'd love to go to the Caribbean =/

Back to reality.... LOL.. What do you actually expect to happen for Valentine's Day? by missjaclynrose

We're probably just gonna go have dinner. LOL

What is the biggest "What if?" you think about? by missjaclynrose

Currently, my biggest "what if" is what if I still don't get a job this year. It pretty much goes hand in hand with my fear of failure.

If you had $1000 to blow on anything but could only spend it in one store, which store would that be? by missjaclynrose

I'd most likely spend it on a classic bag from LV or something. At least, I'll never be too fat or too skinny for a bag, and I'd be able to pass it down to my daughter or my niece if I never have a daughter to pass it down to.

At first I was thinking I'd blow it on clothes from like F21 or something, but then I thought those clothes aren't gonna last very long so then it'd be like I threw away a grand.

What is one thing about your significant other that you wish would change? physically and personality wise. by missjaclynrose

Physically? I want his ass back. He's lost so much weight in the last year and now he's got nassatall syndrome. Everything else is cool, but he used to have a nice plump rump... now, no more =(

Personality wise? Not sure, probly nothing. But I wish he wouldn't let so many people take advantage of him. He's too nice of a guy, he can't see even when people "close" to him are taking advantage of him.

Hello, I just want to ask if it's ok for me to add a link to your site from my online store? Please let me know. Thanks. BM Thewigmall.com people@thewigmall.com

    Getting Cheeky

Alrighty, enough of that V-day shizzles, let's talk make-up!!!t

Only recently, like 2 years ago, did I start experimenting with blush & bronzers. I figured, why use a bronzer if I'm already tanned? Or why use blush at all? But after I got my make-up professionally done, I couldn't help but think how good all those colors looked!

Still too scared to actually buy any of that stuff, I was ecstatic when a friend bought me a little kit that included a blush. After that, I've been experimenting with all sorts of colors on my face LOL. With that said, here's what's been occupying my face on a mostly-daily basis.

    Photobucket

    • VS Silky Bronzing Powder in Ipanema
This is my favorite everyday bronzer & contour. It's not too dark and it doesn't make me look red or orange. There's almost no shimmer, there's just a very little hint of it unlike other bronzers that should really be called brown glitter.

    Photobucket

    • MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Dollymix
This is my absolute favorite blush for going out at night. Mainly because it photographs so well! It doesn't look heavy or as bright as it does in the packaging. It just wakes up your face, no matter how hard you've been partying.

    Photobucket

    • L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder in N8 Cappuccino
I originally bought this as a bronzer because since it's foundation, it's matte. But then discovered that as a bronzer, I just looked over cooked, so now I just use it for contour when I go out at night or whenever I know I'll be taking lots of pictures (with me in it).

    Photobucket

    • Elf Natural Radiance Blusher in Glow
I bought this w/o any high expectations, I just saw a swatch of it some place & thought, eh worth a try. But when I received this product, I was so happy. It's got a light shimmer, it's very peachy, and definitely lives up to its name by giving you a nice glow.

    Photobucket

    • Everyday Minerals Blush in Weekend Getaway
Whenever I'm too lazy to put on bronzer & blush, but I do wanna look sunkissed, this is what I wear. I mean, I'm already tanned but when I wear full on foundation all over my face, it takes away the natural bronzing. And I don't always have time to spend perfecting a blush & bronze combo. It's a little difficult to describe this color, but it's basically a neutral, bronzed type of pink/peach and maybe a hint of plum? LOL

    Photobucket

    • Pure Luxe Blush in Nymph
Just like the name, it makes you look like all you want is to do it, do it, do it. LOL, ok not really. However, it does make you look really hot, near perfect blend of peach & pink, light shimmer and sex on the brain =)

Picture sources: Found using google images. If any of these pictures belong to you and would like for me to take it down, please shoot me an email. And if anyone would like swatches, feel free to shoot me an email as well: LifeAsICEYit@gmail.com

    10 Years Ago... [Pt. 3/3]

    February 15, 2000

The end of lunch bell had already rung. He hadn't said much to me yet, but my friends were all whispering and giving me looks already. We all got up, he walked me to class as he always did but this time on the way down the stairs he cornered me. Then he asked, "So you wanna be my girlfriend?"

LOL and with the ever so Imee style I said, "Do I have to answer now?"

He looked at me like WTF, "Yea... or else we'll both be late."

"Ummm... ok, yes. I gotta go," and I rushed to 5th period to tell my friend the news.

    * * * * *

My friend and I were betting how long this could realistically last. I said 2 months, she was more optimistic and gave me 5 or so months but definitely not more than 6. LOL I know, it was wrong, but what can I say? We were young, and I had 5 other suitors waiting in line (not saying that to be conceited, I'm just saying because it's true).

Anyway, the first bump in the road came just a couple or so weeks after we became official. He heard I cheated on him w/someone and that his friend caught us in the act. I told him that his friend is a liar and that maybe he should look for some new friends, or (bitch that I can be) look for a new girl if he doesn't believe me.

A few days pass, we patch things up. He realized his friend is a liar and that was that.

A few more bumps in the road came along, but we held on. Most of it was due to the fact that I was kept at home by my parents. They didn't really like for me to go out, plus I had to be second mommy to my kid brother & niece at the time. I didn't think it was that bad, I was used to staying home, but apparently he didn't like that.

We got thru it, but sometime around after I turned 18, I knew the relationship had to end. There were things and changes going on in my life that, at the time, I thought I couldn't get away from. So I broke it off with him. Then I grew a backbone and after 6 months, we got back together.

Today, we celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary.

    It wasn't easy.
Many people didn't want us together. Many people tried to get in the way. However, with the help & support of real friends and family members, those people never succeeded. It would be selfish to say we did it all on our own, so with that, I am thankful for everyone who's witnessed our relationship blossom. Especially those people that have been there for me when I thought about strangling Kirby, LOL. I also think that's one of the things that sets our relationship apart from most others. Our friends & family have essentially bonded together and become one big family. Family that's brutally honest about keeping us in check when one of us is being foul, and makes sure that we treat eachother right and that we know there's always someone to turn to.

In the past 10 years I've learned so much.
I was never the type to ever depend on anyone, or ever be patient with anyone, or ever wanted anyone depending on me, and I certainly never had to share my time with anyone for shit I didn't plan on doing. Ten years ago, if you weren't on my same wave length, then you'd get left behind. If you didn't hear me the first time, then you'd never hear from me at all. If I could take advantage of your weak ass, I would.

But now, I still feel like the same person, just upgraded =)

I'm a hell of a lot more patient now, ask anyone. I've learned to share feelings instead of being so cold all the time. I've learned to give people chances. I've learned it's ok to depend on someone else sometimes, and not have to beat yourself up to do everything. I've also learned loving & being loved unconditionally is possible.

    10 Years Ago... [Pt. 2/3]

    February 14, 2000...

My sister was down about not having a valentine, so she asked if I could stay home today. Now for those that don't know, my sister is not a sap about Valentine's Day. She's not the "aww boo-hoo for me, I have no date, whine, whine, whine" chick. What happened was she was going thru a separation with her husband, and it was definitely too soon for a relationship.
(BTW her & the hubs worked it out and now they're happier than ever)

So, with my mom's permission (I was in 10th grade!), I stayed home. We went out, did whatever she wanted to do and that was that.

    3:30ish PM
One of my BFF's at the time, called me up. Here is how the conversation went:

Her: Why weren't you at school?
    Me:
My sister wasn't feeling well. You know why, so I stayed home and hung out with her.
Her: Kirby came by at lunch... he said he was looking for you.
    Me: Really, what else?
Her: I think he's gonna ask you out!

-- call waiting line rings --

Me: Hold on, I gotta get this

    -click-

    Me: Hello?
Kirby: WHY WEREN'T YOU AT SCHOOL???
Me: Calm down, I had plans.
Kirby: Are you gonna be at school tomorrow?
    Me: Yes, why?
Kirby: Nothing. Just come to school.
    Me: Ok.
Kirby: Good, see you tomorrow, bye.

    -click-

Me: Oh my gawd! Oh my gawd! That was him!
Her: What he say? What he say?
Me: Nothing, he just got mad I wasn't there today and said I better be there tomorrow.
Her: I knew it! He's gonna ask you out! What are you gonna say?
Me: I don't know. What if he doesn't?
Her: Well, we'll see tomorrow. Talk to ya laters.
    Me: K, bye.

    10 Years Ago... [Pt. 1/3]

    February 12, 2000...

My sister threw a Valentine's Day party. Lots of fun, lots of drinks... good times basically. I invited Kirby to come by and hang out. The first time I had him come to a party at my house was to get to know him outside of school, I even told him to bring some friends. This time around, I invited ONLY him.

Long story short, before he had to leave, I walked him outside... and made the first move.
That's right. Today... or rather, tonight, marks our 10 year First Kiss Anniversary.

    Spring Is In The Air!

Alrighty folks, as you might know I do a series of posts for Fall & Spring. Why only those two? I've already explained it and I'm not repeating myself.

Today's feature are things that I, not only like, but would actually wear from Arden B. I know there are a lot of other very risque features out there of fashionistas and such but if you didn't already figure it out, I'm a realnista. That means I like to talk about & show you things I would actually, wear, buy, and do. I don't like to waste time or money on shit that's gonna collect dust or won't enjoy.

Ok... my absolute faves on this are the shoes. I've mentioned before that I'm not a high heel person, but I do love a wedge! The other pair, or as my BF would call them "Jesus Shoes", I luuuurve. I don't even really know why, I don't think they're very attractive to be honest, buttttt... I want them & I'd wear them everywhere.

    WTH: What A Steal!

Sometime over the weekend, Jackie went a-haulin' and got these hot boots from Cathy Jeans (along with some fabu makeup & purses, that girl can shop!). And I admit, the green-eyed monster called Envy took over and I was like... awwww... I want shoes, too *pouty face*.

[Just to clear things up, she's my friend people. It's not like I was on a mission to copy-cat or anything like that, LOL. I know some of y'all love that high-school type of drama, but leave us out of it.]

Anywayyyy... I dragged the BF over to my nearest Cathy Jean, and though they we're having a big sale, offering 25% - 50% - 70% OFF original prices, I still couldn't quite do it. Which is kinda sad actually, but eh... I'll live.

Walking away with my head down, I noticed a wall full of boots on sale over at Reflection (a few stores down if you're at Northridge Mall), so I though what's the harm done if I just take a peek?

So peeking I went, and oh. sweet. lawd. $25 and under, BOGO 50% OFF!

    Pair #1
    Last pair, 6.5, $15
    Photobucket
These looked fine over jeans when I tried them on in the store, but when I took this pic I realized my legs are too short. It's a good thing these are fold-able.

    Pair #2
Last pair, 6.5, $15 (but with the 50% off, I only paid $7.50)
    Photobucket
And these, I absolutely love these. I don't know how often I'd actually wear them though. I'm not really a high-heel person.

Don't believe me? Here's the proof:

    Photobucket

I know it's final sale, but I have no plans on returning or exchanging them so it's not even a big deal to me.

More importantly, I couldn't believe at what a deal I got! Last time I went shopping at this very same store, I was able to get two pairs for $25 + tax. At the time, I thought that was the deal of a lifetime. Then these came along, omg... I broke my own record! Whoohoo!!!

Ok, that's all I wanted to share.
    Happy Hump Day!

    Ask And You Shall Receive...

What's the 'love story' behind you & your BF? by sher0xx

girrrrrl, i don't wanna repeat myself so you & everyone else is gonna have to wait for my Valentine's Day post! it's gonna be a tell-all! LOL

what do you do for a living?

oooh gawd, i've been trying to avoid this question. anyway, i was employed but i had to quit. i know, it was stupid quitting, but i had every reason to quit. i'm not gonna pretend like it was necessarily the right thing to do, but it was the best thing to do and my bf & family all supported me.

List your top five turn-ons of the opposite sex. by shesoprecious

    1) Humor - it's lasts a lifetime. erections & a pretty face don't.

    2) Someone with talent - not stupid talent like being able to lick ur own elbow... like someone who can sing really well, dance really well, write well, etc.

    3) eye's that smile - kinda hard to explain, but i guess it would be easier to say that i don't like dude with eyes that look beat red, tired, or maniacal. LOL

    4) a nice toned back - i know most chicks dig abs, but i'm a "from the back" girl LOL i know it sounds wrong but u get what i'm saying.

    5) a nice, plump butt - that's the only reason i'll watch football & baseball.

Who is your favorite hip hop artist from the 90s? Now? by ladylonline

Oh man, I hope I'm not limited to just ONE cuz I have plenty. Of course, in the 90s I loved me some 2pac & Biggie, but I also loved Bone Thugs, Snoop, LL Cool J, TLC (forever & always!), Black Eyed Peas (before Fergie, I mean, I don't hate her but I loved the group more before she was in the picture)... in the 90s, I was really more into the slow jamz & oldies so not too much hip-hop for me. But yo! I remember Paperboy & the Ditty! That is my jam!!!! Now I love T.I., Ludacris, and Common. I mean, I've always liked Common but he just got sexier to me as I've aged. LOL There's a few more people but I just can't think of them right now, but you should hear my playlist, I got hip hop, rap, gangsta rap, slow jamz, oldies, all types of reggae, rock, booty bass, metal, punk, trance, drum'n bass... etc. LOL

    YOUR FAVORITE ALALALCOHOL....

In the club/bar? If I know I have to drive home, I'll have an Adios (or two) as soon as we get there so that shit can give me a buzz, then be out of my system by midnight-ish. If i know I'm not the driver, I'll take any shot that every else wants to do a round of, but I like to keep a vodka tonic in hand, with lots of lime.

How did you find out about formspring?

Awhile ago, like before Thanksgiving. Tumblr folks were using it and I thought, hey why not. It took me a little while to actually sign up cuz I didn't think people would actually want to ask me questions. But then I thought I could make use of it by replacing my Cbox cuz people were starting to advertise on there.

    Favourite fruit? by shesoprecious

It's a tie between Mangoes & Jackfruit. But since those aren't always in stock, I'll take Bananas.

how do you feel about girls photoshopping themselves?

I have mixed feelings about it. I think that if all they're doing is smoothing their faces out from old scars or blemishes, then it's really not a big deal. I mean, how many times have you done your eyes up so well and the only thing messing up your pic is that one damn pimple!

Although, if they were to go through extremes like slimming their jaws, or lowering their hairline, or stuff like that... I don't necessarily think I'd hate them for it, but I do feel bad for them that they feel they have to do that. I mean, when someone see's them in person, people are gonna be able to tell anyway.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who entered and supported my very first giveaway!

As a reminder, I used Random.Org's Random Number Generator to be fair with choosing a winner. So with that said, there were only 15 entries (hence the max # being 15) and the winner is...
