    Okay, Okay...

I know I haven't been so great at keeping up with y'all but hey, I'm trying okay? Anyway... so lately I've been sick. I'm not looking for anyone's pity but I do hope that some of you understand. I know I tweet regularly, but tweeting is completely different from blogging.

Anyway, one of my happiest moments lately is knowing that I'm gonna be seeing my beloved Jabbawockeez live in Vegas! In case you didn't know, I am a fan of all things dance. I don't care what kind of dance... ballet, b-girl/b-boying, river dancing, etc., all sorts of dance... I'm a fan. I believe people like the Jabbbwockeez can make even deaf people hear music. And that's no disrespect, that's the truth. I believe that dance and music go hand in hand... so when I hear a great musician, I believe even they can make the blind see what's going on.

Anyway, so on Sunday, May 9th... I'm gonna see my boys the Jabbawockeez!!! I feel kind of bad though... you see, I got my BF to pay for MY ticket so that I can see other men dance and turn me on, on HIS birthday. LMAO. Fret not, he loves him some Wockeez, too!

If they allow cameras during the show, best believe I gotchoo! LOL If not, well, you're all just gonna have to take my word for it, then.

Til then, y'all are just gonna have to wait for whateverz I have in store for you!

Since Folks Are So Damn Curious...

would you let kirby toss your salad?

AHAHAHAHAHAHA NO, I have to kiss that mouth. But if someone else offered (someone I NEVER have to kiss), and Kirby was ok with it, I'd give it a go.

You look like a great couple! Have you ever given Kirby access to your balloon knot?

Thank you. I had to google balloon knot cuz I had no idea WTH you're referring to. Anyway, HELL NO. Every time I even consider letting that happen, I think about all the times I've shitted so hard that it's damn near brought a tear to my eye. So yea... ain't gonna happen.

Can you post a picture of you & your boyfriend?

I've posted some before, I've even made a video for our 9th anniversary which u can view here:
    http://lifeasiceyit.blogspot.com/2009/02/9-years-counting.html

is it true that your a lazy drunk?

Of course... that's no secret. I hope you didn't think that was gonna insult me the least bit. I'm no crackhead cunt like your mom though.

small dogs or big dogs? if you had to choose one! by vanessamakeup

I've always had big dogs and always wished for a little dog when I was little. But then I finally got a little dog and realized how much attention and extra care they demand so now I'm definitely sure I'm a big dog type of girl.

    Current Love Affairs, Pt. 1/2

Hey-looooowwww beautiful people! Didn't mean to leave ya hanging there for awhile, but as I've previously mentioned, I'm running low on ideas LOL. Normally, during these times I'd post a rant, but since nothing's been bothering me (which is good for my health, but bad for those who enjoy reading about my anger) then yea... nothing to post.

Then I remembered I haven't really talked about beauty much. For shame, right?!?!

I haven't really bought anything new, so I decided to talk about my current faves instead. Let's just get right into it.

Maybelline Stylish Smokes in Natural Smokes 02
    Photobucket
I bought this quad originally for the two bottom colors. I don't have anything like those two, especially not in matte. I debated heavily with myself, pacing back and forth, around and around the store before I finally gave in. I really wasn't too happy with the price tag, I think it was like $7, which is cheap for most things but expensive for a drugstore brand. But then I read from this blogger that it is in fact 4 near-perfect dupes of 4 MAC eye shadows, one of them being limited edition! So I'm very happy with my purchase. There are so many color combinations and looks I could create with this quad, so far, it's definitely paying for itself. Don't let the imprinted directions on where to place the color on your eyes fool you, colors like these are very interchangeable.

Revlon Color Burst Lipstick in Soft Nude 070

    Photobucket
I think I love the texture of this more than the color, and I looooves me a nude! I've written a complete description of them before, so check that out. It is just an absolute dream to apply and have on... *tingles* this type of admiration for a lipstick should be illegal.

Make Up For Ever HD Foundation in #127
    Photobucket
I've had this for a little while now... I bought it in December 2009 I believe, and I've been using it almost every day (4x-5x a week). Unbelievably, I've still got plenty of product left! A little goes a long way with this foundation, which helps considering it's $40 a bottle. Normally I apply it with a stippling brush, although lately cosmetic wedges has been my top pick for applying this foundation. I find that using that method, I can create a very light feeling of almost no makeup at all, letting my natural skin shine through, while covering everything I hate about my face. That plus it's just a great product overall.

Victoria's Secret Perfect Lipstick in Scrumptious

    Photobucket
First of all, just look at the color! It's a beautiful blend of nude and peach. It's very creamy, very pigmented, and I couldn't ask for more. LOL, I know that sounds so dramatic, but if love your lips like I do, then you're gonna fall madly in love with anything that treats them well.

Victoria's Secret The Beauty of Brazil Silky Bronzing Powder in Ipanema
    Photobucket
I've written about this before when I bought it a year ago. I can't even tell you how mad I am that they don't sell this anymore. I have plenty of product left but I've already hit pan and now I'm freaking out, looking for a new bronzer that'll treat me just as great. In the pan, it looks like it's gonna be slightly shimmery but on the face, it looks matte (and I've got oily skin so that should tell you something). I can use this for an all over bronze or just to contour, hell I've even used it as eyeshadow.

    Shisem False Eye Lashes

    Photobucket
I got these from Jackie, and I've written about it before. It took me awhile to want to wear them out because I was scared I'd ruin them right away and I'd have to throw them out. But I've used these about 6x and they still maintain their shape. These are my absolute favorite pair by far, I love the spiky look. I know it looks totally unnatural in real life, but it just shows up so well on camera. Besides, why go through the trouble of wearing falsies if you wanna look natural?

    Crown Brush S205

    Photobucket
Tia bought this for me last year at IMATS LA. I love this brush because it's soft enough for light bronzing all over the face, but dense enough to grab enough powder so you can really see some color. It's also slightly pointed which makes it great for contouring as well. Plus, it only shed ONCE and that was the first time I washed it. Never happened again.

Sally Hansen 18 Hour Lip Treatment in Clear Optimistic Opal 08

    Photobucket
I got this from the Dollar Tree, of all places. Originally I bought it because it looked good and for a dollar... hey, why not? But I never imagined I'd love it as much as I do! I could do without the smell, which isn't bad but I just wish it wasn't there because it's such an obvious smell (even though I can't describe it). Anyway, I don't know about the whole 18 hour thing, I've never timed it. But it does leave my lips very, very soft and leaves it with a slight tingle.

    L'Oreal H.I.P. Kohl Eyeliner
    Photobucket
Top: Teal; Bottom L-R: Black, Brown. The brown one I don't love, but I do like it for my bottom lashes. The black one is what I use everyday for tightlining and waterlining, which is basically all it's good for. The teal one I use to brighten up a neutral look by applying on my waterline. The main reason I just love these liners is because they are the absolute best liners I've ever tried for tightlining and waterlining. Pencils, gel liners, and liquid liners just ain't cuttin' it for me so I'm so happy I found these.

Hana Professional 1" Flat Iron Pink Edition
    Photobucket
Ok, ok... I know it's gonna seem like I'm getting paid to include this in the list, but I swear I'm not. I truly LOVE this flat iron. As some of you already know, this was gifted to me. You can find my review of it here and you'll see exactly why I love it.

That completes the first half of the list. Stay tuned for more!
    Happy Monday!

Damn, I gotta do that FTC notice shit huh? Well, here goes: I bought everything unless otherwise noted. No one paid me to say any of the above comments. Damn y'all, can't a girl just genuinely love her beauty stuff? I blame all those lying ass bloggers and youtubers, and the dirty companies that support them.

    Turned Nudist

So I'm noticing a lot of new trends this year but only one has really caught my eye.

    NUDE.
    That's right, the color "Nude".

It's not vibrant, it's not flashy, it's not exactly my naked skin color... but something about it. It's quaint simplicity is kinda fascinating to me. Like being heard without speaking, sexy without revealing, and flirty without trying.

Here's a few of my favorite nude pieces... now remember: the key to pulling this off is wearing one nude piece at a time, two at most. You don't want to look like a walking mosaic of mismatched skin color.

    Where'd Ya Get Them Peepers?

Hey guys & dolls! It's been a minute since I had something to blog about, but don't worry... ya girls got'cha back!

Soooo anywhooz... I got fantastic news for you guys! My girrrrl, Jackie (over at JRoseOnline.com) is having a blog sale! I know, I know... everyone and their mamas are having blog sales nowadays, butttt... the best part is that she's got some Shisem lashes on hand!!! Now I know some of y'all East Coast hunniez can easily get your hands on these, but for everyone else these babies are much harder to find (try near impossible!).

So Jackie, being the thoughtful miss that she is, decided to grab a bunch of these most coveted lashes and have them readily available for you! Now before you wet yourself from joy, here's the bestest part:

She's offering MY READERS 10% OFF YOUR ENTIRE ORDER!

That's right folkers, just mention "LIFEASICEY" <<< (PLEASE PAY ATTENTION! IT'S "LIFEASICEY" NOT LIFEASICEYIT) at checkout and you'll get your 10% discount.

So here's a little info about Shisem (from my experience) for those that don't know:

    • They're made with synthetic hair and a thicker band so they don't get flimsy which makes them great for beginners.
    • They hold their shape even after 7-10 uses & washes.
    • Very lightweight.
    • Comes with a pretty reliable glue.
    • Not too long so they fit most eyes almost perfectly off the bat (meaning you won't have to cut off too much and waste product).

Here's me modeling a pair (that I received from Jackie). When you look at the product, it looks a bit intimidating, but it's really not. It's not natural looking, but why wear falsies if you wanna look natural, right? They really make your eyes pop and add a bit of drama but not too much to the point where you look like a scary, living doll.

So what'cha waiting on? Head on over to Jackie's Blog Sale and get that discount!!!
