What's Goin' on now?

    Twitter Button from twitbuttons.com

    9.30.2010

30/30 - A photograph of youself today + three good things that have happened in the past 30 days.

You want recent? I took this pic just now!

I know it's blurry, but I used a webcam cuz it was the closest thing to me (duh!).

Three good things I learned in the last 30 days:

    1. You might never forget, but you can (and probably should) learn to forgive.

    2. I am responsible and can take care of biznazzz... ya digg?

    3. I won't always get what I want... as a matter of fact, I almost never get what I want. However, God has always given me what I needed... time to reflect, problems to solve, and most importantly challenges to test my strength. And I'll tell ya what... be afraid, cuz I now KNOW I'm a survivor =)

    9.29.2010

29/30 - Something you could never get tired of doing.

    DANCE.

No matter what type of dance it is, if I don't already know it then I'm willing to learn it.

    9.28.2010

    28/30 - Your favorite movie.

Gosh this is such a hard one. There are many movies that I'm willing to, and probably could, watch over and over and over and over x10! But I guess if I had to choose, it would be:

    9.27.2010

27/30 - A picture of you last year and now and how have you changed since then?

    Me 2009
    Photobucket

    Me 2010
    Photobucket

    How have I changed?

Physically... not much. I'd like to think I lost a little bit of weight, but I could just be lying to myself. I know my liver and my lungs are probably shit... I'm still short, I don't think I've grown... as a matter of fact, I think I've shrunk.

But I have grown as a person. Over the last few years, I've discovered a lot about myself. But over the last year, I've gained so much wisdom and strength. And hell, I might have even matured =)

    9.26.2010

    26/30 - A photo of somewhere you've been to.

    Bantayan Island, Cebu

I've only been to this place 2x in my life, but I am absolutely mesmerized by its beauty. The people are beyond hospitable. The atmosphere can relieve anyone of any stress they might be suffering from. I LOVE this place. Where I stay when I go there doesn't even matter, so long as I'm there.

    9.25.2010

    25/30 - What's in your purse?

First, I want to show you my purse... I'm very proud of this purse!

A structured black with gold hardware, embossed faux croc(?) skin, with long handles...
    Photobucket
This thing only cost me about $2-$3!!! I forget the actual price, but I know it wasn't over $3!!! I scored it at a thrift store near me. This has been my everyday purse since May, it's perfect for work cuz it has plenty of room and it's not all slouchy.

Here's what's inside... sorry, I didn't want to take everything out. The folder & notebook holds all notes and whatever else I need for work. The mini binder holds all my cheats for our computer programs, which I still have yet to master.
    Photobucket
The middle part holds all my personal things that I don't want just anyone to see, like if for some reason they were passing by and my purse was near them or something. You know, stuff like my wallet, deodorant (cuz I refuse to be funky!), tampons, etc.

This is the same purse, just from a different angle.
    Photobucket
The mini pockets hold things I need daily like hand sanitizers, lotions, pens, sometimes I'll have chapstick in there (but usually it'll be in my pocket). BTW, that little strip of blue that you see next to my mini binder is my coupon booklet =)

That's it. Nothing exciting, but it is what it is.
    Toodles!

    9.24.2010

24/30 - A photo of something that means a lot to you.

    'Nuff said.

    9.23.2010

    23/30 - 15 facts about you.

    ONE
I love to dance. Sometimes, I prefer to dance by myself (if not with a group doing a routine) than with a partner because I think the other person might ruin my groove.

    TWO
I don't like being on the phone. I prefer texting, emailing, or even just talking to someone in person, but I usually avoid phone calls just cuz I don't like it. I'd rather drive all the way to whatever store/company to speak to someone face to face than to call their customer service line.

    THREE
I can't shop with other people. I'm not talking about groceries or shit like that. I'm talking about the mall, boutiques, department stores, etc. It doesn't matter who I'm with, it could be my mom, sister, BF, best friend, any friend... I just can't do it. I end up being their personal shopper cuz I just can't shop for myself.

    FOUR
I've been dying my hair since middle school. As far back as I can remember, I've always had grey hair and that always made me uncomfortable. But now that I'm older, I don't care about greying hair, but I just love coloring my hair now. I treat my hair color kind of like an accessory.

    FIVE
I can be such a dawggg sometimes... I often have to check myself looking at guys and girls thinking "nice ass".

    SIX
If I could screen who my audience would be, I'd totally be a stripper.

    SEVEN
I'm obsessed with mermaids. As a matter of fact, I'm working on getting one tattooed on me.

    EIGHT
I'm not afraid of asking a LOT of questions and being thought of as an airhead. I'd rather be honest about not knowing something, than get caught lying like I knew wassup and being thought of as a dumbass fake.

    NINE
I love dogs. I love animals, but mostly dogs. One day, if my life go as planned, I will have my own rescue center.

    TEN
I'm woman enough to admit that I am way too selfish at this point in my life to have any kids. I'm not ready to give up my sleep or freedom to do what I want, when I want.

    ELEVEN
I'm pretty courageous when it comes to most things in life, but I'll be the first to admit that I'm a chicken when it comes to doctors. I haven't had a check-up since... I don't even want to say, it's embarrassing. I don't take shots very well, I hate tests, all that shit. I can't... I just can't. I've let a lot of injuries heal on it's own.

    TWELVE
    I'm suffering from Quarter-Life Crisis.

    THIRTEEN

Sometimes I get too lazy to look for something I already have that I just go buy the same thing (if I'm already at the store or near the store).

    FOURTEEN

I can't stand driving. I can't wait for someone to invent teleportation.

    FIFTEEN
I love high heeled shoes. They're a pain but they make legs look so damn sexy. Unfortunately, I have disgustingly weak ankles, that have both been twisted already.

    9.22.2010

22/30 - A letter to someone who has hurt you recently.

For personal reasons, I'm turning off the comments on this one.

    Dear YOU,

Thank you for everything you did wrong. Thank you for showing me how awful life can be. Thank you because if it weren't for you, I probably would have never fully realized the strength that I know I have now. Lastly, thank you because if it weren't for a man like you, I would probably never realize how lucky and blessed I am to have a man like him.

    Sincerely,
    ME.

    9.21.2010

21/30 - A photo of something that makes you happy.

I'm sure that the title says "A" photo... meaning singular... but everyone who knows me knows I love doggies... especially my own. As a matter of fact, I just love animals, I have 3 dogs, a cat, and 2 birds... but my pups are my pride and joy. So if you could care less about dogs, then f*you and this post ain't for you, so x-out biatch. Bwahahahahahahaha

Anyway, silly/cute pic of my pups make me happy because they make me happy. Don't get me wrong, I love my family and friends, but sometimes, it doesn't matter which human you're dealing with, but sometimes you just can't stand to be around them. My pups on the other hand, they could never piss me off. Sure I might get frustrated, but at the end of the day, I know they mean well and just want to please.

    On to the pix...

    Lola @ 2months and Krypto @ 5ish months. First trip/car ride together.

Krypto seeing himself in the mirror for the first time.
    Photobucket

And my Henney, at 6 weeks old... knocked the f*out!
    Photobucket

The first couple weeks that Henney was with us, Lola couldn't stand to be near her...
    Photobucket

Little girl wrestling with her older bro...
    Photobucket

Doesn't it look like she's whispering to him??? LOL
    Photobucket

Lola tryna wrestling with the big boy!
    Photobucket

    Look at my pwetty bwoyyyyy!!!!
    Photobucket

It took a couple of years, but my girls can now peacefully sleep next to one another =)
    Photobucket

Lola never lets her size be the reason she can't have what the big dogs have. Look at that thing, it's bigger than her leg!
    Photobucket

After Henney got too big, I started training her to stay off the couch... complete fail! As you can see, she's chillen, watching TV.
    Photobucket

    That's all folks!!!!

    9.20.2010

20/30 - The meaning behind your blog name.

    Life As ICEY It.

It's pretty simple, my nickname is 'icey'. It's been there since I was 10 or 11, my friend's cousin named me that. No, I wasn't a little gangster, LOL. It was for something else. What exactly? I won't say =)

But anyway, I've always blogged about random stuff that interested me, my likes, and dislikes, things going on around me or the world around me, etc. Basically, life as I experienced it, life as I lived it, and life as I see it.

    Get it?
    Got it?
    Good.

    9.19.2010

19/30 - Another picture of yourself.

I'm sure some of you have already seen this picture of me... this was during the peak of my clubbing days... I was 22 in this pic.
Young, dumb, and ready to get drunk.

Like I said, it it was during the peak of my clubbing days. At this point, if someone was celebrating a birthday, or whatever it was they were celebrating, I was down to go. It was probably around the age of 24 that I became more selective of where I was willing to spend my precious time at. Then now, at 26, I just don't do clubs anymore, LOL.

    9.18.2010

    18/30 - Something you crave a lot.

    Soup.
    It's good for the soul.

    Photobucket

I almost don't care what kinda soup it is; minestrone, pho, chicken, gumbo, ramen, vegetable, tomato, clam chowder, etc. I just really love soup, even on a hot day. There's just something about soup that's so satisfying... like I said, it's good for the soul.

    9.17.2010

17/30 - A photo of you and your family.

I try not to post pix of my family up, I know I've done it before, but I feel really uncomfortable putting my family members faces on blast for the world to see. Not that I'm ashamed of them, but it's just that the internet can be such an evil place, ya know? So I try to put little to no pix of them up, especially my parents. I'd hate for one of their friends, or one of my aunts or uncles to stumble on my blog and find a pic of my mom or dad and then run back and tell them about it. Anyway, so I'll post a pic of my sister, my brother, and I instead. Why them? Cuz they both have MySpace & Facebook, so I figure they must be comfortable with having their faces out there.

    Photobucket
This pic was taken earlier in the year, for my niece's graduation.

    9.16.2010

    16/30 - Your celebrity crush.

    Kid Rainen
    from the Jabbawockeez

I know there are some people out there thinking, "He's not a celebrity, he just won a dance show with his boys, big deal".

So first of all, fuck you, he is a celebrity to me aiiite? Second, sure I coulda picked a cute actor that can lie or 'act' his way into my heart... or a fine musician who might put our love on blast for others to hear...

But a dancer... OMGeebuz... a DANCER! He can rock the boat all night long! And a b-boy at that? Shiiiieeet... break my back baby and I'll scream for more! Oooowwwww!

    9.15.2010

15/30 - Something you don't leave the house without.

    My Keys
Without them, I couldn't leave the house cuz I wouldn't be able to get in the car to leave LOL.

    Photobucket
Here you see my car key, house keys, Hawaii key chain that my sister got me from Hawaii, all my store club cards, and a froggy (his name is Hopper) that my beb gave me =)

    9.14.2010

    14/30 - A TV show you're currently addicted to.

    Call it FANG BANGING...

... or whatever you want to call it... but yes, I am a fan.

    9.13.2010

13/30 - Your favorite musician and why?

This is another hard one... there's no ONE musician that I can consider my favorite because there is no ONE type of music that I consider my favorite.

So instead, I decided to focus on the entertainers that I adored, on more than just a musical level.

    Aaliyah
    Photobucket
I loved her style. She was sexy with out ever being over the top. She had a great voice but never felt the need to over-do the notes or the extend the songs ending just to show you she could saaaaang **ahem*mariah*iloveyougirl*ahem**

    TLC
    Photobucket
Not to take away from Salt'n Pepa's genius or anything... but these three were my idols when it came to empowering women. They kept it real... they showed that women can be everything from cute, weird, outspoken, bitchy, crazy, fragile, etc... but above all, they showed that a woman, if nothing else, should be respected.

    Michael Jackson & Janet Jackson
    Photobucket
I absolutely adore these two beyond words. MJ simply took the world by storm... and of course, if big brother could do it, lil sis Janet had to show the world she could be just as great. Again, no words... just pure awe.

    9.12.2010

12/30 - A photograph of the town you live in.

I don't really have pictures of my hometown, but I can tell you this... I live in the porn capital of USA. Don't believe me? Google "porn capital" and one of the, if not the FIRST, results will be the San Fernando Valley in CA.

    9.11.2010

    11/30 - What's in your makeup bag?

I like to keep it pretty simple...

    Photobucket

That's what's currently in my makeup bag. However, sometimes I'll switch things up depending on what I'm actually wearing. Sometimes the bronzer will be traded for a blush, or the lippies will be a different color, etc. But if it doesn't fit in my little baggie, it doesn't go with me. I have enough junk in my purse.

    9.10.2010

10/30 - A photo of your favorite place to eat.

I couldn't pick just one... hell it was hard enough picking my top seven but I had to. I thought to myself, if in the next week I knew I was going to die, where would I eat? And this is how I came up with my mini-list.

I'm such a grubbie, and not like a snobby foodie. I'm not the type to go for smell & texture, and I sure as hell am not willing to pay $50 a plate for 3 pcs. of shrimp or an ounce of steak sm0thered in someone's so-called special sauce just so they can chaaaarge you for it. Shieeet... if I pay $50 for ANYthing, yo'ass better let me in on the damn secret, ya'heard?!?!?!

No way, I'm the type that loves to GRUB. And by grub I mean making loud sounds when I slurp soup, getting sauce all over my mug, and eating with my fingers cuz utensils get in the way type of grubbie. I don't allow my tongue to make love to the taste of food, I have my stomach dominate that mu'fcuka.

9/30 - A photo of the item you last purchased.

MAC Viva Glam Limited Edition Lipglass in
    Cyndi
    & Gaga

    (l-r, respectively)
    Photobucket

    Yep!

It's funny how the topic for today's challenge is "photo of last thing I purchased" because I was about to take a picture of a packet of beef jerky that I bought. However, when I got home, I saw a little black box waiting for me and these babies were in it... so even if I paid for these over a week ago, I think they still count as the "last" thing because they arrived after my beef jerky, right?

    Photobucket

    9.08.2010

8/30 - A song to match your mood.

    Feeling hopeful =)

    9.07.2010

    7/30 - Your dream wedding.

    A Beach Wedding...

I'm not sure that I actually want it on the sand, but I do want it at the beach. Maybe in a more structured environment like this one... that way my guests won't have to worry about getting sand in their shoes. Plus, as I walk down the isle, I can be assured that I look good for the cameras cuz I won't be walking all funny on the uneven sand.
    Photobucket

Plus I want a breezy dress like this... I'm anti-satin, no matter how well it photographs, that shit is unflattering in real life. Also, it's too uptight-ish for the beach.
    Photobucket

Most importantly, I'd be able to wear flat sandals like these!!!
    Photobucket

I haven't given how the cake should look much thought, but I do know I want my cake topper to represent me and my hubby...
    Photobucket

Most importantly, I'm really big into centerpieces... that stuff can be quite pricey so I want something my guests can actually take home and put to use.

    Photobucket
Isn't this cute? You could use the glasses and stick a candle in there, or leave it as is... works for any living room or bathroom.

    Photobucket
These are just gorgeous. Very simple, very versatile.

And to go with the whole beach theme, I also plan on having a treasure box at the entrance or someplace people can't miss it. It'll have raffle tickets where my guests will have a chance to go home with something other than a centerpiece or those little souvenir giveaways. And yes, I plan on having multiple winners. Why such a nice gesture? Because I don't plan on inviting people that only happen to be in my life... I plan on having guests that actually have a role in my life. So whatever money I spend for my special day will be totally worth it.
    Photobucket

Also, I don't know how practical it might be since some of my friends are having babies, but my dream wedding would have no one under 12 years old in it. Why? Cuz selfish as it sounds, I don't want any whiny kids ruining my entrance or interrupting special speeches that my friends and family might have for us. If children are to be present, I want them to be 1)potty trained; 2)know when to keep quiet; 3)be respectful of things that don't belong to them (I can't stand children who just wanna touch and grab EVERYthaaang!).

    9.06.2010

6/30 - A photo of an animal you'd love to keep as a pet.

    A White Tiger

I know it's a long shot, and I'm not a psycho animal collector who doesn't obey the laws of nature but... if ever in my lifetime there comes a time when big cats are openly domesticated then the White Tiger will definitely be at the very top of my list.

I mean, just look at how stunning this animal is!!!!

    9.05.2010

5/30 - A photo of yourself two years ago.

    Gothic Lolita

About two years ago, I joined a blog contest. This was my entry, and though I didn't win, I had a lot of fun creating the look.

    9.04.2010

4/30 - Your favorite photograph of your best friend.

    Yes, he's my best friend.

I remember this day perfectly. He spent hours on the beach catching whatever little critter he could get his hands on, like a child would... it was so cute. Out of everything he caught, this one was his prize catch. (He let the little guy go, of course.)
