    Best Moments of 2010

    In no particular order...

    • Hitting the decade mark with Kirby =)
    Photobucket
    ❤ ❤ ❤

    • Getting my first *grown up* job.
Sure I've worked before, but I've never worked full time. I've had jobs that worked me close to full time hours (think 37hrs retail, they didn't wanna give me FT benefits). And not only am I now employed FT, I also have benefits! That's a hell of a big deal to me! Some people take shit like that for granted... but not me. I mean, dude... imagine that? I have health insurance AND a savings plan! Go me!

    • Throwing my very first giveaway.
And not only one, but TWO! And they were BOTH sponsored! Again, that's a very big deal for me. Who knew companies would actually be interested in my blog enough to sponsor a giveaway? I mean, I've been blogging for years just cuz I like to. Giveaways and shit like that was always "for someone else's blog" I thought... plus how embarrassing if no one entered?

    • First Ever, ALL Girl Weekend in Vegas.
Y'all know I've been to Vegas... it's like my home away from home. But I've always gone with Kirby, or a mix of friends, or family... or friends and family. But this year, me and 3 of my girlfriends got together for an entire weekend in LV. Honestly, I think that weekend might have saved what's left of my sanity. And we didn't do anything terrible... then again... you know what they say. What happens in Vegas...

    • Meeting Rainen AND Phi.

    Photobucket
Y'all KNOW I love me some Wockeez... but to meet BOTH of my faves in the group, the same night, get a picture and hugs from BOTH of them? I was one uber happy camper =)

I can't wait for whatever new memories 2011 has in store for me...
    I hope everyone has a
    Happy, Prosperous, and FABULOUS
    2011

    To INFINITI... And Beyond!

    Photobucket

    What is is:
    A clamp-less curling iron.

    Photobucket

    Where to get it:
Anywhere Infiniti by Conair products are sold. My brother got it for me at Target for our family's Secret Santa gift exchange.

    How much?
On the Conair website, the MSRP is $44.99 however I've seen this sold for less than $30 online. The reason I didn't just get it myself is because I didn't want to spend the money to buy another curling iron since I already have 2 AND I have a flat iron that can curl really well also.

    What I like about it:
I'm very impressed with this product. It heats up fast and you don't need to leave your hair on it for too long before you can see results. That's good news considering this product can reach 400 degrees is like, two blinks.

    Photobucket

    What could be improved:
The actual product is great but it comes with this... I don't even want to call it a glove as it's just a useless piece of cloth to me. It's like... well... I'll just show you the picture. I mean seriously, what the fuck is that shit? Conair... fa'real?

    Photobucket

    Photobucket

    Overall:
I love this product. If i had known I woulda loved it as much as I do, I wouldn't mind spending my own money on it. But still, I'm glad my bro got it for me. He had some trouble getting me the gift too, cuz all I listed down was "clamp-less curling iron". He's such a boy, he had no idea what that meant.

Anyway, I first fell in love with the idea of a clamp-less curling iron when I saw Lady L's review of the HerStyler Baby Curls. But that thing was either sold out everywhere or too much for my cheap blood. So I kinda just let the idea go. Then Tia got her hands on the Herstyler Grande and that just re-ignited my interest, but I was still unwilling to "buy another curling iron".

It's not a secret that I love big hair. I have a lot of hair on my head, and I STILL add volumizer and tease it when I get the chance. One of my favorite looks is having tight curls on. To achieve this I would braid my hair at night in 2-4 rows (depending how poofy I want my hair the following day). Then the following morning, I'd undo them and let them all go wild! But there was always something about that style, that I couldn't quite pinpoint... like it was messy... I mean, it's suppose to look messy but not a mess, you know? LOL

So anyway, the first time I tried the Infiniti You Curl, you know after I finished my entire head (which probly took 25mins) I realized something. THAT'S the look I've been trying to achieve forever. Wild, messy, playful curls that fall into place just right =)

    Top10 for Twenty10

    Hey everyone!
So this is gonna be my first year doing a hit-list type of thing. I mean, I've done lists for my favorite or most used products or whatever, but I've never made a hit-list strictly limited to a certain time frame. I don't think I'll ever be making a monthly list because I just don't buy that many things in a month's time, but this end of the year thing could work.

So anyway, these are the top ten things I found myself using/wearing a lot since whatever date I purchased them, of course all are from this year. Let's just get started, shall we?

    Buckle Wedge Booties
    Photobucket
I got these from Macy's during the summer. They were originally around $50-$60 or something like that... but I got them during one of the bigger sale weekends for less than $30 including tax. I frikken loooooove these booties! They are very comfortable and offer a lot of ankle support (which I NEED!). The best part is they go w/almost everything in my closet, jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses, leggings... etc.

    MAC A Tartan Tale
    Photobucket
To me, this is like one of the best little kits MAC's come out with for some time now. Maybe I just love peachy tones, but I am absolutely in love with the colors! Ever since I've bought this, I've worn at least one of the colors from this kit almost every single day (if not two or all three colors).

    Maybelline Quad
    Photobucket
If I had to keep only ONE palette and get rid of all my other eye makeup, this is the one I'd choose. I've come up with so many different looks with this little palette. Anywhere from a fresh everyday face, to dark smoky eyes, and whatever else is in between.

    Hana Flat Iron
    Photobucket
I'm sure some of you are tired of me talking about this product, some of you might even doubt how I truly feel about it. Whatever your deal, I don't care cuz I truly LOVE this iron! I've taken it with me to every Vegas trip I've been to this year cuz I know it's the one thing I can count on to complete whatever look I'm going for. I usually create waves using this cuz it comes out so much cleaner than when I use my curling iron.

    Wet'n Wild palette
    Photobucket
If the world ever ran out of the Maybelline quad that I pictured above, then this is the one (other) palette I'd hold on to for dear life.

    MAC Beauty Powder
    Photobucket
This I got from Jackie. I keep this in my makeup bag and take it w/me everywhere! It's kinda sheer so it's perfect for everyday, anywhere kind of look. I've used this as blush, contour, and bronzer. Versatile lil' thing!

    Revlon lipstick
    Photobucket
I have so many nude lippies but I had to narrow it down to just this one. It's creamy, it's glossy, and it's kinda moisturizing... kinda like a lipstick/lipgloss hybrid.

Sigma Synthetic flat top face brush
    Photobucket
I got this in a set of 3 (the other two are good but this one's my fave). I use it to buff on both liquid and powder foundations and the results never cease to amaze me. I have acne scars and this helps to dimish them by like... I dunno, a LOT! LOL, I haven't used it with mineral foundation or cream foundation yet, but because the hairs are synthetic, I'm sure this brush would be great for those too. I really don't know what else to say, it's one of those things you gotta see for yourself.

    L'oreal Mascara
    Photobucket
I wrote a review about the original version for this mascara, and I didn't really think it was necessary to write another. Essentially, they're the same but this one's just bolder. I think it makes my lashes look longer and thicker than the original, but I don't think it's really all that obvious in pictures (the difference between the two). It's kind of just my preference, when I'm putting it on, I can SEE the difference, but in pictures it looks the same as the other one. Anyway, I love this thing a lot! I'm such a fan of the little spiky ball (in place of a wand). I think it really does the trick of accentuating the little hairs that normally don't even look like they exist.

    got2b hairspray
    Photobucket
When I first bought this, I really didn't think much of it. I just got it cuz there was a BOGO deal at Walgreens. But when I tried it, it was instant love. It does a really good job at keeping little flyaways away. I usually have my hair in a ponytail so I use this to keep the look polished as oppose to messy. It doesn't look greasy, doesn't feel sticky... and dare I say it, it's smells awesome. Like candy, but I'm not sure what, just sweet that's all.

Alrighty folks... that's it for this year's faves.
I can't wait for whatever new loves 2011 will bring me!

    Toodles!

... And She's Cute to BOOT!

On my Twitter, I told you I already received my order from AmiClubWear.com. But before we get to that, I wanted to show you these boots I got from a local boutique near my house. I actually got these in October, but that's beside the point. Oh and apologies ahead of time for the fuzzy pics... I know I need a new camera... and I also need to clean my mirror LOL.

    Photobucket

I love the red/brass zipper in the back.
    Photobucket

It's faux leather, but it's really soft!
    Photobucket

Now on to my order from AmiClubWear.com.

I fell in love with these thigh-high boots the minute I saw them on the site. I knew I had to own a pair!!!
    Photobucket

Check out those hot pink bottoms! I'ma be struttin' w/flava!
    Photobucket

This heel is killer! Like literally... I think I can hurt someone with these.
    Photobucket

You can't really tell, but the boot is made of very soft velvet...
    Photobucket

The lining is fleece so when you have them on, they feel like sweatpants attached to a shoe. Very soft, warm, and super comfortable.
    Photobucket

I'm incredibly happy with my purchase! I typically don't like ordering apparel or shoes over the internet, but I couldn't stop looking at these so that's why I decided to give them a try. Anyway, the only thing I'm iffy about is because there's no ankle support due to the material being so soft. Most people are completely fine with that, but I have really weak ankles, that have both been injured in the past. And with 5" heels and no ankle support... I'm gonna have to be extra careful, hope, AND pray I don't fall over while I'm gettin' my dance on or something LOL.
(And I know someone's gonna be like, "why don't u just return them/it's not worth it to hurt yourself... blah blah blah". Well, #1 I don't want to and #2 it's all good, I fall w/grace.)

Here's the second pair. I probably would never wear these with anything short... I think they'd look much better with dark denim or olive/khaki skinny pants.
    Photobucket

These are made of faux suede, which makes them much sturdier than the other pair, which I LOVE because that means ankle support!
    Photobucket

I tried to get it as clear as I could, but FAIL. You get the jist of it though, the elastic & hook detailing go all the way to the top of the boot.
    Photobucket

Thank goodness for the zipper, it would be such a hassle to take the boots on and off otherwise.
    Photobucket

Oh yea... and if you want to get your own pair or whatever, the site is running a special from now til Dec. 6th (Monday).
Use coupon code: STK30 at checkout to save 30%

Oh yea... I ordered a dress, too. However, you won't be seeing that in this post. I'm waiting for an occassion to wear them, so when that happens I'll take pix and show you. But for now, that's all folks!

    Til next time...
    TOODLES!!!

[disclaimer: everything pictured above, I bought with MY own money.]
