Avon Calling!!!

So I got my haul from my girl Jin and here's a quick shot of everything I ordered.




The following are, obviously, the products in more detail and I'll be talking about them a bit as well.


Haiku Shimmering Body Powder

I'm not big on perfumes, even though I do have my favorites. I'm more of a body mist/light scented sprays type of gal. If you know Avon, then you know they carry a line of fragrances and within that line, you can choose your fragrance in perfume, body powder, lotion, or deodorant form. I chose the body powder because with summer coming up, I just thought it would be more practical to get something that'll help soak up excess moisture your body produces and make me smell nice at the same time. I chose Haiku because it's very light. Reminds me of my younger, more innocent days, hahahaha.



Smooth Minerals Blush in Hearty Peach

This product I couldn't wait to get! The swatch in the catalog didn't do it any justice! But because I love peach, I trusted my gut feeling and bought it anyway. Sooooo glad I did, I mean, look at it!!! Shimmer is very minimal, color and pigmentation is very true so don't use with a heavy hand.



Smooth Minerals Blush in Blushed

This color is a lot more mauve than I thought it would be, but it's ok cuz I don't have this color. I really like the color but as you can see, it's more shimmery than I'm used to. I'm probably gonna use this more during night time.



Smooth Minerals Lip Gloss in Natural Glow

If you're looking for that perfect gloss where it just gives a nice color payoff without being opaque, you know, something that works with your natural lip color, then I highly suggest getting this product! It's creamy, not at all heavy or sticky, and there is a LOT of product in the tube so you won't have to worry about running out soon.


I saved the best for last...

Glimmersticks Liqui-Glide Eyeliner in Black Plum and Brown

Believe it or not, the swatch above was taken AFTER I rubbed them. Uh-huh... yes ladies, I have found the true "stay-put!" eyeliner. I swatched them on my hand, waited a little less than a minute to make sure they were dry and a rubbin' I went. I know I've talked about other liners being stay-put liners, but I have finally found something I am going to seriously stock up on. If you love the Milani Liquif'Eye as much as I do, try the Glimmersticks Liqui-Glide. Excuse my french, but oh my gawd I shit you not, this IS the shiiiiiit right here. I don't even want to wear them until I get my back-ups, because god forbid I run out before my order comes in... oh man!!!!

So what makes my girl Jin better than any other Avon rep? Uh, she's my friend, duh!

LOL, I'm just kidding. I respect all reps doing their thang, gettin' their hustle on. All I will say is that I trust her. She's honest (sometimes too honest, damn you! LOL) and she's a no bullshit type of chick. She's not gonna up-sell you or fake it like she knows about a product she's never tried just for the money. She's very friendly, very personable, and she's a momma so she understands the day to day of most women.

Giving In...

I told myself:

• I had too many eyeliners...

But I bought Milani's Liquif'Eye liners anyway...

Yes, I'm glad I did. After you let them dry, these babies have some serious staying power! After I swatched them, I waited about 15 seconds, tried rubbing them off and NOTHING! Absolutely did not budge! As a matter of fact, I had a hard time trying to wash them off with liquid soap!

• I had too many concealers...

I bought Victoria's Secret Oil Free Concealer anyway...

Glad I did! The consistency isn't really liquidy... almost kind of like a whipped/mousse like substance but thicker. Anyway, it's very opaque and goes on smooth. I'm normally anywhere from an NC37-NC40 in MAC terms, and the Medium 20 suits me perfectly!

• I had too many nude lippies...

I bought MAC Viva Glam in Gaga 2, both lipstick and lipglass anyway...

Originally I only went to MAC to replenish my foundation... I said I would ONLY look at the new Viva Glam Gaga 2 just out of curiosity. I was so sure that I had more than enough nude colored lippies... and yet I walked away with two new ones. Can you really blame me? Look how nice they look!
